April 17 status

The seedlings are growing nicely. Broccoli and cauliflower have been up-potted to larger homes and the tomatoes are not far behind.

We added a new cover to our outdoor bed to minimize the impact of late frost and freeze. Hopefully we will start to see some sprouts outdoors soon.

Microgreens went in on Saturday.  We are hoping for a nice first basket on May 8.  The pennyroyal is giving us fits, and we had to replant,  but hopefully it is under control now. We ordered seeds from a different vendor and think that will solve our problems.

We also planted the lettuce pots for each share. They should provide fresh lettuce for each home between pickups.

Here are some pics…
First is the potato seedlings.  Very excited about these. Next are onions. These look droopy  but are doing well. Microgreens grow in purposed plates from restaurants. Next are peppers, potatoes, and impatiens for our front porch. Last pic shows our cauliflower and broccoli. Still have a month or so before things go outside. Love having all this life in our house!
